Master Paul Van Schoyck

Master Paul Van Schoyck began his martial arts training under Grandmaster Chung when he was fifteen years old. He currently holds a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a 5th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and a 1st degree black belt in Hapkido. He has had the opportunity to train at the Tae Kwon Do headquarters in Korea as well as compete in a variety of local, national and international tournaments. Master Paul has been certified by the World Academy of Martial Arts (W.A.M.A.) as a master instructor and has been teaching children and adults since 2006. Master Paul now owns and operates this academy overseeing instruction and curriculum. View the video below to see Paul in action.

Leslie Provost

2st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do
2st degree black belt in Tang Soo Do

Leslie began training in martial arts when Chung’s Martial Arts Academy first opened in 2009. Since starting, Leslie has enjoyed the competitive side of martial arts training. She has been the winner of many tournaments and has competed in Tae Kwon Do nationals multiple times. Leslie has a lot of sparring experience and is very helpful when it comes to preparing students for competition..

Maggie Rix

Maggie Rix began her martial arts training in 2011 and earned her black belt in 2016. Over the years Maggie has had the opportunity to compete at national level and is also a certified referee. Maggie has been assisting and teaching at the academy since 2017.

Master Michael Whitney

Master Michael began his martial arts training in the early 1990’s. During this time he has competed in numerous tournaments and is a national gold medalist in sparring. From 2014 to 2018 Master Michael trained with Olympic Coach and Medalist Juan Moreno, in Miami, Florida. Master Michael is the main sparring coach at the academy.

Jimmy Rix, Class Assistant

Jimmy Rix began training his martial arts training in 2011. Jimmy earned his black belt in 2016 and in 2017, competed in nationals. Jimmy began assisting at the academy in 2021.

Dylan Reiff

Dylan trained at the academy during his childhood and later returned to his training as an adult. Dylan began assisting with classes in 2021.

Cindy Pearson

1st degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do
1st degree black belt in Tang Soo Do

Cindy Pearson began training in the martial arts in 2007. She is part of a rare group of people who began training in their fifties, proving anyone can do our program with a little effort. When Cindy was 57 years old she earned her 1st degree black belt.
